Dr Ben Dawson
Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist
Ben is an HCPC and BPS registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. He has specialisms in Neuropsychology and Major Trauma. Ben founded Project Trauma in 2019 to provide psychological services within Greater Manchester. Within NHS practice, Ben is the Clinical Lead for Major Trauma Psychology and Traumatic Brain Injury within the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at Salford Royal Hospital. Salford Royal Hospital and the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences are leaders and innovators in Neurological practice. The Department of Clinical Neuropsychology is renowned for its specialist clinical services and research. Ben's work involves assessment, formulation, rehabilitation intervention, consultation, and supervision. Ben continues to lead on trauma, serious injury, and major incident work at a local and national level.
Ben has specialist interests in traumatic brain injury, mental capacity assessment, neurorehabilitation, poly trauma, major incident response and planning, and sports rehabilitation.
Ben lectures at and supervises for Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster Universities and holds a position as an Honourary Lecturer in Neuroscience at Manchester University.

Associates

Project Trauma works with several associate Clinical Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, with backgrounds in Neuropsychology and Trauma. Whilst Ben continues to head up Project Trauma services, other Psychologists may be involved to provide input where most appropriate.
